Blog #5- Mayhem

 The advertisement that I chose was Cat. The context of this advertisement was to influence the audience to get a home insurance plan with their company. They want to show the audience that with their home insurance they can cover and help you with a lot of things for your household. They are trying to show you a lifestyle that has insurance and warranty over anything that is broken or needs fixing in your home. 

The way that the audience should react is getting a home insurance plan with Allstate. It is entertaining to the audience that way they can pay attention to the ad and receive the message it is portraying. Not only is the ad funny, but it contains real life situations of what could happen in your home and what the insurance can cover for you. It is funny because the ad contains a human portraying to be a cat and shows likewise acts of a cat in a home. 

The design of this ad is a family's home with pets; pets tend to break things all the time and the insurance company can cover it. The way the advertisement talks about their message is very intriguing to the audience and makes it seem more realistic. The language is very professional as well as the message it is sending even if the ad is funny and entertaining.
